Once upon a time, in the land of high school hallways and college campuses, I was what you’d call a “guy’s girl.” You know, the girl who hung out with the boys, bonded over video games, sports, and anything else stereotypically non-girly. My reason for this wasn't because I didn't like pink or shopping (trust me, I love a good shopping spree!), but because my experiences with female friendships were, to put it mildly, a series of unfortunate events.
In my younger years, I was surrounded by what we now call "mean girls." These friendships were a minefield of drama, backstabbing, and endless competitions. Instead of sisterhood, I found myself in the midst of petty battles over who had the cutest outfit or who got invited to the coolest party. Exhausting, right? So, I sought refuge with the boys, who were refreshingly straightforward and drama-free. If they had an issue, they’d say it to your face, and two minutes later, it was all forgotten over a game of Call of Duty.
However, as I navigated my way through life, something magical happened. I stumbled upon a group of women who shattered all my previous misconceptions about female friendships. These women were the epitome of supportive, fun, and incredibly uplifting. They laughed with me, not at me. They celebrated my successes and comforted me through my failures. It was like finding a treasure chest filled with everything I had been missing.
This amazing squad taught me that real friendships aren’t about competition but about lifting each other up. We planned spontaneous road trips, had movie marathons in our PJs, and engaged in deep, soul-healing conversations over countless cups of coffee. These friendships were not only fun but also profoundly nourishing for my mental and emotional well-being. For the first time, I experienced the joy of true sisterhood, and it was nothing short of life-changing.
Through these incredible women, I learned the true meaning of self-worth and happiness. They inspired me to embrace my authentic self and pursue my passions without fear of judgment. It was this newfound confidence and sense of purpose that led me to start the Digital Wealth Academy. I wanted to create a platform where I could empower others to achieve financial freedom and personal growth, just as my friends had empowered me.
So, here I am today, a proud “girl’s girl” with a heart full of gratitude for the amazing women who transformed my life. They showed me that the right kind of friendship is a powerful force that can inspire, heal, and elevate you to new heights. And if my journey from a guy's girl to a girl's girl taught me anything, it's that surrounding yourself with positive, supportive people is the ultimate key to unlocking your true potential.
To all the incredible women out there: thank you for being you and for teaching me that real queens fix each other’s crowns. Here’s to the beautiful journey of sisterhood and the endless possibilities it brings! Cheers!
